UFC President Dana White has revealed that he will be pushing for MMA to be held in New York, according to the Free Bets website. After lobbying hard for the UFC to be able to put shows on in New York, it seems his efforts have fallen on deaf ears, and New York will not allow MMA fights in the state.

The rules were put in place before MMA was revamped in the early 2000s, and the sport of MMA has drafted The Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts, and the sport is much safer now.

White is absolutely right about the rule being outdated, and if the state of New York doesn’t approve this bill to allow MMA, they’re fools. The sport would create jobs and bring income into an economy that needs all the help it can get.

The UFC has impacted ever community that it has been in positively, and they would add a new element of sport to a state know for its fans.
